I bought this 1210 used with a view to modding it and trying some plinth modifications, but I ended up going for a Denon instead, so it's now surplus.

Bearing, platter and tonearm are all in good shape. Comes with Ortofon OM Pro cartridge (untested)

First up, I sprayed the top plate, as the original Technics legend was partially rubbed off and looked a little tired. It is now gloss black. I also have refurbed the pitch slider with new parts. The stock footers have been replaced with threaded RDC1 cones, which improve the sonics considerably. A heavyweight Denon turntable mat will be included.

The cueing and strobe lights are all ok, the arm is good with no play in the bearings. The lid has a few scuffs. The little aux counterweight is missing, but replacements can be sourced easily. There are no stock footers with the deck, foculpods can be used, but RDC cones are the best solution I have tried.

For completeness I should mention that whilst playing around with damping options, I accidentally ended up cracking the resin damping block that sits between chassis and rubber base into 2 pieces, however this has no effect on the performance as the block's primary purpose is simply to add mass and it's secured to both chassis and rubber base at several locations, so it does not compromise structural rigidity at all.

No original box, but I will arrange a suitable carton and wad it with plenty of bubble wrap etc.

This deck is not in the finest cosmetic condition, but the essential components are good to go for a lifetime.

Looking for £125 with RDC1 cones, or £100 without. (includes shipping) or collection VERY welcome from NP4 area.
