I've had this amp now since July 2011. Ye gods - nearly one and a half years.
A magical combo with my MBL speakers.
But, finally, time to move it on.
250wpc (8 ohms), 400wpc (4 ohms).
The first 7.5wpc is in Class A. And you can hear that by the way it produces the inner light and life of the music. Some valve nuts have said they don't miss valves at all in my system with the Parasound amp in the driving seat. Amazingly fast, detailed and transparent.
Designed by amp legend, John Curl.
Anyhoo - up for sale at £800.
Great condition except for a small amount of scraping along the heat sinks on the lhs. (see 3rd pic)
Boxes/packaging not in good shape, and the thing weighs 60lb - so collection (GL17) or meetup only (maybe at Scalford 3rd March).

Bloody Hell Jerry, fantastic amp :stalks: if I'd not got active speakers I think this is one amp I would be looking at, what are you thinking of getting next to drive your MBL Speakers?
Marty :D
That's a lot of amp for the money. Shame I just ordered a new one, otherwise would have grabbed this.

Bloody hell Jerry - I did think I felt something strange happen yesterday evening. I put it down to a bad case of hiccups, but it seems it was the earth wobbling ever so slightly on it's axis as you decided to get rid of what's become almost a part of your furniture!

Yeah, I know, Chris.
It's a bloody good amp, and held its own against MartinT's excellent Chord amp in his system. Somewhat different presentation, but equivalent level of sound quality, imo.
£800 -- not bad, eh! :)

It's a very good price indeed - if I were in the market for an amp, I'd be ringing your doorbell right now!

Bump!
hmm - I'm surprised this hasn't been snapped up at what is a true bargain price.
Come on folks - it's an awesome amp!
I'd have the amp off you like a shot if I had 800 quid lying about Jerry, but what with Christmas and all... :eyebrows:
Hi
Is the Parasound Amp still for sale?
If so I would be interested in chatting about it.
Cheers

Yep, lovely amp - I hope Jeff enjoys it as much as I did.
Hi Jerry
Thanks for the dem on Saturday. I did not arrive home until late Sunday night following a visit to my mother.
Its a really great amp but its a big un. Now I have to solve ' a what to sit it on problem', the rack I have at the moment is too small.

Ha ha  - yup, it's not small is it!
Have you had a chance to give it a listen in your system yet?
Not had chance to fix it up yet. I will keep you posted.
I will have to visit a joiner friend of mine and get him to make me a rack to accommodate it.

Hi jwc2919,
Hope you enjoy the A21.. but if you don't and want to sell it on, then please let me know. I had an A51 about 4 years ago but sold it. Now I'm looking for an A21 to drive my B&W803D and only saw the ad on this forum this morning.
I was gutted to see that it had sold... Lucky you :)
Cheers
Colin
Hi Colin
I have not had chance yet to connect it up and play it in my own system.
So I won't be making any decisions about selling it on for a while. I am hoping to get the rack I mentioned built in the next few days. So I can get the beast installed properly before I use it.
Thanks for the interest.
