Minimax MC matching

Just wondering if i could garner some expert advice with regards to matching my Lyra Delos cartridge to my EE Minimax phono pre-amp. Should i be using the MC high or MC low input?
With the volume full up with no record playing, i appear to me getting quite a hum despite the TT being earthed at the rear of the phono stage. It makes no difference whether it is connected or not. any ideas?:scratch:

If the hum problem is independent of gain setting (i.e. either of the "MC high" or "MC low" inputs), then try experimenting with the earthing arrangements - you may have an earth loop. How is the arm/deck earthed?
