listen to a lot of different music , i was a teenager in the eighties so a lot of early electronic music , my current system is vintage technics
su-7700 amp
st-7300 tuner
rs-615 cassette deck
sb-x5 phase linear speakers
all of this is 1978 and i have all of the original boxes and manuals purchased from the very careful original owner , coupled up to a cambridge azur 340 cd , originally i bought this to resell but when i hooked it all up i soon realised it was all of my modern cambridge azur range separates that had to go , plus the fact that the technics gear has survived for 35 years and it is all totally unmarked ,:D

Nice one Jamie, Vintage Techie all the way here too my man, they've made some terrific amps. My flagship SU VX800 integrated power house from early 90's is no toy, serious proffesional components as standard and sounds superb with eq connected. Clean, detailed presentaion and very musical. Some dont believe in eq's but this brill amp was produced with an external adapter for such things and coupled with this amp the music it produces is beautiful especially as you upgrade your system around it - sorry to waffle just nice to meet another Vintage Techie head - More than one way to skin a rabbit as they say :D Welcome on board Jamie, great place to be :)

i do like my old technics , the system i have now is the same system that i had 25 years ago , good old ebay!!! , i also have a monster technics su-8080 vintage amp as well that i am shortly going to move on , this is also 1978 a serious bit of kit , weighs 15 kg , twin transformers , twin phono inputs and phenomenal sound , under rated by some but a lot of their early units were top notch with good spec,:)

Exactly Jamie, Some know, some dont 'til they hear one in a good set up then :eek: lol - Mine has Big Power supply, Twin Proffessional Oxygen Free Capacitors and Twin Oxygen Free Transformers, 2 x 110w (some specs say
2 x130w) @ 8ohms and as I say not just power but really nice clean detailed and musical sound - you can tell I like it :lol: Enjoy your time here ;)
