AR the legend , plinth unmarked , lid and hinges , almost as new , new belt , everything checked and as it should be , also included audio technica arm , looking to raise 250 sterling , not really wanting to post, would rather meet up etc , hate couriers and this is fragile , thanks for looking

This TT is a wonderful piece of kit...If your seriously looking for a higher end TT for little money..you won't go wrong here..

thanks alan , know you like her a lot , as said virtually unmarked (IE can't find any ) lid at least 9/10 , el cheapo AT cart included . plug n play , huge , spacious soundstage , way down bass , loads of space , very , very , very reluctant sale , took a lot of fighting and gnashing of teeth to get her in the first place

Hi Andy, had a quick read about them there. Reviews are amazing.

The look out of my range price-wise mate, sadly and as you say they need a big powerful amp.

I've currently got an old Sony TA-F6B which would probably be okayish, I think.

Tried it briefly with my Meridian 101b/103d combo after my 2200 left the building 3 weeks ago and it sang sweetly,
but.......it's running rather hot to touch, even at moderate levels which it never did with the Beovox.

Don't know about your amps suitability but it really needs something with massive reserves of power and have robust power supplies to cope.

P.S. just took a picture for your perusal, might be a inflation busting price, try me Tony. :)

Hi Andy, yeah my wife would love them considering what my current speakers are (Proac Studio 140s) which my wife doesn't really like, she likes the sound just not the size of them and to be honest the room is too small for the speakers so I'm seriously considering selling them.

I was only really looking for some speakers for a dinning room to run off the amp's B speaker connections rather than have an entire set up in there but I have decided to re-vamp my system now so I think I'm going to change nearly everything.

Love the Proac Studio 100 when i heard it, if you feel the 140's are too big for your room, you'll have the same problems with the Sapphire's,
the bass from the Xmax bass with it's 10mm of travel is something else, :eek: thats sub woofer territory and it sure moves some air, add to that the DREAMS driver,
at the end of my MC2 750 and playing the likes of Yello, The KLF, Underworld...etc, the razor sharp transients, the top to bottom coherance,the snappy stop-start bass, the soundscape...(i could go on) it produces is just phenomenal, only thing is with that amount of resolving power, it demands top notch front end or else it might be unlistenable.

Never heard of your Sony amp before but looks a bit of class kit, feel like buying them off you instead of selling to you. LOL!!

Hi Andy, it's not that my wife and I don't like the Proacs, we do it's just that they are physically huge and take over the room.

The sound from them is fantastic especially with jazz and female vocals but they are way too big sound wise with in the room with the Sony amp.

I had them previously hooked up to a Sugden A21p and Croft basic pre and they weren't so 'shouty' but Tommy is going to let me use his Denon integrated for a few days next week with a view to buying it, apparently it's a 30 watt class A amp with two MM phono stages and a MC phono stage so should be interesting.

I'd never heard of your speakers either but the review below is fantastic and they sound just what we're after however the only problem is that they are white, well not the only problem I'm not keen on stands but I would compromise for the right sound and speaker but I do think I would need a better amp for your speakers.

Tony, if you can stick with the Proac's, do so, the few times i heard the brand i really like them, you'd something with high damping factor to cope with my M&D's,
a few reviewers have bought the review copy, they are very much a monitor speaker, had them 7yrs or so but been in it's box most of that time as i went onto to bigger and bigger speakers.

That amp looks a beast, look very Harman Kardon influenced, let us know how you get on. :cool:

it's that bad i bought a trolley from Aldi's to switch speakers, it's not good for my old back. :D

they were in the 70's , a branch of koss the headphone company , alas short lived due to overspendind lol , they are koss cm1030's very little on the web , although i do have an original owners hand book , 10" woofer , 2 x 4.5 " mids , 1 xtweeter , 1 x super tweeter , 27hz to 18,000 khz , they are very monitor like , very detailed , and are keepers for life , weigh in around 40kgs each , and were reputedly the first computer calculated box , me likey very much , oh , also original unmarked grills , the switches are for mids/tweeter/super tweeter , you can cut 3 dbl , run flat , raise 3 dbl on all three , very tunable for most rooms

Yip, definitely my kinda boyo, :guitar: knew Koss made headphones and some speakers, (think i had a pair of tiny metal ones for Walkman's for external sound),
but never knew they made badboys with serious kickass spec. :cool: any chance of some close ups and different angles?, have PM'd my email addy. :)

Just had this TT delivered and set up by Tommy and what can I say, totally brilliant and that with a cheap AT cart.

I put on a first press copy of Transformer to listen to the set up, fantastic sound, big smile on my face as I type this:eek:

I think I finally get the vinyl thing.

This turntable is a total bargain.
