Mystery Of Time step Forum Closure solved ?

I notice Marco closed the thread on this but I have discovered the supposed reasons according to the owner!

As you can see the Timestep forum has now closed. We had some great people there and some good discussions, but to get any forum to really swing, requires the time and dedication of the owner. And it's the time that I lack. Dealing with the constantly evolving SL-1200 modifications and a couple of unseen projects meant I had no time to do anything else. So a big thanks to all those who contributed. Needless to say our SL-1200 modifications go from strength to strength and thanks to everyone out there, we have never been as busy! So thanks guys and see you at the next show ? Dave




Of course some of this has to be taken with a pinch of salt as since when did DC come up with any new mods?

Andrew, I did chat with DC at the Whittlebury Show last September and I did ask if there would be an 'upgrade' to his TimeStep HE psu? He said that it will be debued at The bristol HI Fi Show in Feb... I/we shall wait and see but I really don't want to re-hash the unpleasantness of a past altercation on the subject, it really doesn't really achieve anything constructive does it? Let people buy what they want from who they want to buy from I say :)

All fair comments, I agree 100%. The upgraded Timestep PSU would have to be something extremely special to trump some of the Paul Hynes designs. Lets wait and see. ;)

Just for the record my only interest in the TimeStep is sheer curiosity so come the Feb Bristol show I/we will know whats what? During the conversation (probing by me) with DC he did tell me that he had requests for a bigger PSU but in reality did not really see the need for it... its a waiting game now. In fairness to DC he did not bad mouth any other related product or person. My dealings with DC in the past have been on a business (bought a product) ONLY and as such I have no overly loyalty to any manufacturer of product. I only buy according to what I want, what I can afford, and what works best for me.

Marco, please don't close this thread down because of me... just lets keep everything civil and factual from everyone who wants to join in, okay? :):champagne:
