Just got an e-mail from Apple about the new iPod shuffle; seems to me they've lost the plot a bit.

In order to reduce the size, they have moved the controls from the iPod to the earbud cord. Clearly, this will make it impossible for users to upgrade to decent quality earbuds or phones (unless they are made specifically). In addition some people cannot physically use the earbuds (I have weird ears which while quite big, have earholes which are too small for these devices:scratch:)
