World Audio Designs 5881 Power Amplifier

This is a classic push-pull valve amplifier design, operating in Class A, producing a beautiful sound. Many modifications were undertaken by previous owner, including selected Mundorf Supreme, Rifa and Vishay capacitors, together with Kiwarme resistors. Driver valves upgraded to Tung-Sol EF86 and Sylvania 12AX7 gold pin. Second set of power valves included. This amplifier is a powerful little thing, seeming more than its rated 20 watts per channel, with plenty of gain, so works well with passive preamps. No packaging, so not keen to ship, but happy to deliver/meet up to 80 miles from Northampton. Top amplifier for £375

Good luck with the sale, these are very solid performing amplifiers. I have the MK2. Yours seems to be a MK1 with EF86 input valves, it can be easily turned into a MK2 if wanted...a great amp.

Just a quick question, how would this work with a pair of Frugal Horn MKIII speakers? I use the MA CHP 70 gen 1 drivers. Any thoughts would be appreciated, as this looks like it would do me nicely...
