Having a clear out - all items below must go - I'd prefer cash on collection but will ship some of it subject to negotiation. Pics will follow:

Cambridge Audio Azur 840C upsampling CD player/DAC - near perfect and in perfect working order with origianl box/packing, manual, remote control. £300 ono

Sony 55ES power amplifier in very good cosmetic and perfect working order £160 ono

Behringer A500 power amp, near perfect cosmetic and in working order £70 (two available)

Samsung blu-ray player, not sure of model, perfect cosmetics and in working order, remote, manual, original box and packaging £50- has touch sensitive front panel controls!

Linn Lk1 pre-amplifier, MM and MC boards, near perfect cosmetics and in working order, I am second owner from new. Original box, manual and leads (canon XLR to phono). £90

Systemdek IIx electronic. Modified, only has 33 RPM with Linn Basik Plus tonearm. Glass platter. Some quite severe marks on plinth, motor works but not enough to spin platter, could be a dodgy resistor. Tonearm is fine. Spares or repair and collection only £80

Celestion Ditton 44 loudspeakers. Early model with veneered front baffle. Except for some slight faded patches on the cabs these are perfect witrh very few hours on them. I am second owner from new. Collection only £150

Gale surround speakers and center speaker. Working and cosmetically near mint. Original box. Collection only £20

Sony Direct Drive TT model PS-T15. Working and near perfect cosmetics, even the lid is good. Collection only £10

Thanks for your interest.

Here are some pictures of the Cambridge Audio 840c. The only blemish is a couple of scrathes on the rear panel, visible in the second picture. The serial number sticker is torn and one of the stoppers is missing from an optical input.

The stands are not included in the sale. They are a bit too tall anyway.

Here is the Linn Lk1 pre-amp - I cannot find any marks on this. This comes with manual, connectors and original box:

Systemdek IIx electronic - spares or repair but the wiring is very simple and easily accesible. May just be a resistor needs swapping out. Only want £80 for this, the arm is worth that alone.

Surprised you're selling those, Martin. What are you going to be using instead that are better?

Marco.

That 840C is a lovely CD player - I've had 2 of these in fact (the second a modified one which was stunning) and not only do they sound superb, the in-built dac into which one can plug 2 further items, is fabulous. :)

Celestion A2 :)

I can't really site the Dittons well due to the room lay out so they are just gathering dust and taking up space. Someone else may as well have the pleasure of them.

Mmm... Personally, I think that 44s are by far the better speakers, but with the room restrictions, you may be able to get more from the A2s.

Nevertheless, whoever lands the 44s will be getting a stonking pair of speakers! :exactly:

+1, for the price of the tweeters, great buy.

I'm tempted by the LK1 and the Systemdek but i don't need either, just that Martin's prices are good, :nono: to myself.

Marco.

Yes, with a different room I would probably use the '44s - but I do like a bit of serious 'heft' in the sound and the A2 delivers this, the '44 doesn't, although it undoubtedly has the 'prettier' sound of the two.

I made a promise to myself that if I bought one more bit of kit I would try to sell all the stuff I am not using. So since I have a new amp arriving this week:eyebrows: everything is priced to clear.

We never sold them, but the A series was a darned good range and a fitting swansong for Celestion as we knew them IMO. The 44;s are great old 'uns and very well worth the sub £200 they get, but being honest, they are a bit woofy and coloured in the modern scheme of things..

Please don't think I'm being unkind above, but speakers HAVE moved on in good ways over the years, it's just the desire for ever smaller boxes for ever smaller living spaces I don't agree with :steam:

Aye, that'll be why my 40+ year old Lockwood Majors and 30+ year old Celestion 66s piss all over almost any modern loudspeakers I've heard!

;)

Has the 840 gone Martin?

I'm only in Stoke so collection wouldn't be an issue. Let me know if the deal falls through please. Thanks.

Macca, it will be the 0.22uf capacitor that has gone in the psu for the turntable. Pm me your address and I'll send you the one that came out of my Kuzma.
