My name is Brandon and I'm located here in Raleigh, NC.
I just recently decided to distance myself from the out of the box Bose system I've had for years and build a component system. This journey has morphed into something I hadn't expected. I tend to go over board with new projects and I have no idea what I'm doing I need guidance. I have a Mac mini (mid-2010) that I use as my primary audio source. I picked up a Pioneer VSX-822 receiver to handle all of my audio and video sources and B&W CM1 speakers. It's a pretty good set up but I think I can get an even better quality of sound. My friends tell me I need better speaker cables, power conditioners, another amp and a sub. What do I need? I watch movies and listen to Jazz, Blues, R&B, Trance type techno, occasionally Hip Hop. Any help would be appreciated.
