Fella I got the Linn from bought this in to work today, sounds like a fair system for the price (speaker cable was free!) -

That's a great price even for '84 (when I had my first used hifi)! I shudder to think what I've spent in the last 12 months but my cart alone was more than that total :uhho:

I mate recently asked me to set up his new cart, an AT95E. I asked him how long he'd had his system and the reply was "oh, I bought it new as a student" and that was probably 35 years ago. Thorens TD150, Quad amps, Heybrook speakers and it still sounds great today.
