Gary Numan - Pure
came up for playing again as in the "need to listen to this again before being filed" box
Useful the other half was out so 'reasonable' volume.

I was surprised that it sounded more 'real', perhaps coarser, examined under a magnifying glass, more oomph, portent
Probably over a month since last played, but I pretty certain I'm right

So something seems to be burning in very nicely

System is the same as it was a few months ago - for CDs

So either The Ultimate mains cables are still getting better or the Isis CDP is - or maybe both - don't know which - what a great problem to have
:)

That's good to hear Mike. I think too many people dismiss cables and equipment before giving them enough time to 'burn-in', and you are no doubt reaping the benefit. A good few hundred hours at the least imo. Looking at your kit list, i notice there are a lot of 'Art of sound' favourites there, i have a Yannis 222 connect-litz myself, and like yourself, i have noticed that Marco does indeed know what he's on about!

Could be creeping senility of course !
:)
I 'borrowed' my Yannis cable for the Isis and it sounded wonderful, it is currently serving the SUT - 82 connection
I'll will be back to Yannis once I have researched, decided and installed more kit.
The Isis can output XLR or Phono. The 82 only takes in DIN
