Well for me I had a shit day on Saturday. People suck sometimes, even when your tryimg your best to help them :steam: Anyway, I bought myself a little Xmas pressie in the form of a pair of these http://vintagetable.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/rogers-jr149-loudspeakers.html I have been agonising over a pair for ages and today I thought what the hell.
Lovely speakers with cool styling. Hard to resist buying your own Xmas pressies isn't it ;)

ha ha!! - yeah, good for you.
Sounds like an excellent excuse.
Reasons for me to buy new kit? - so long as I'm still breathing, that's reason enough.
I feel like buying new kit whenever I'm on ebay.... too much candy.
Thankfully keeping my bank acount empty seems to help in this situation!

After a nice bottle 'o' wine... Deadly and I sometimes wake up in the morning regretting it...

When I'm nightshift . I seem to go into some kind of ' buying trance' . :mental: Then the parcels start arriving over the next few days . Three this morning so far

:rfl: funnily enough I have been guilty to both of those scenarios

Luckily the wife is at work Andrew  I tend to buy most of my hifi related purchases online these days . Sometimes quite a few parcels come through my letterbox in a week .

well at least they are small enough!!
mine are usually taken in by my neighbour, who then stashes them in the garage for me and I can go in there and open them up at my leisure and then pull them out..."guess what I found in the garage" is an overused statement in my house:lol:....since we moved a few years ago the garage is still full of stuff from the old place we didnt transfer inside...lucky me:cool:

Got some stuff stashed away in the loft . The wife won't go up there because there are spiders :eyebrows: I occasionally tell her I saw a gigantic one when I was up there

I completely stopped buying Hifi stuff some time back.
Erm......apart from a Bushmaster Dac from Stan, a power booster for it, a pair of Atratus ic's, two different sets of Tellurium speaker cables, and a giant pair of Usher CP 6371's.
See.........totally stopped. ;)
I stop when the cash stops flowing. At the moment that particular river bed is dry as a bone... :eyebrows:

I so agree with that statement. As soon as things are fluid again I feel a Graham Slee coming on.
I normally get the urge first thing in the morning.

Well the 149's arrived today and they certainly make a very very nice noise. The jury is still out however as to if they are better than my highly modded 15XR's.
