View Full Version : Juan Moment
Anyone else had an email from someone calling themselves Juan Moment and inviting them to join a new HiFi forum? Just wondered how he got my email address.
If you're interested, the forum is www.snakeoilaudio.com . I haven't joined...

Yes. I received the same on Wednesday.
I haven't joined either.
Is he the same bloke who sells kitchen roll - Juan Sheet? I've not had an email... (and he wouldn't have had any email addresses from AoS I can assure you!)

Have you tried Googling your own email address, Shane? It's a way of finding if it's 'out there' and why. If you've ever left it on a Classified for example, it could have been picked up from there. Have you ever signed up any HiFi magazine subscriptions? Mag subscription lists are often sold on.
Alex is right though. AOS definitely isn't the source of his mailing list!

I've just checked the 'snakeoil audio' site. It looks like a variation on the 'Firkham Hall' "forum" - in which case you definitely aren't missing anything...
I've just Google'd myself.
The only thing that comes up is a reference to Wikipedia, which cites Chris (TGW) and myself as authors of an article we did for the Knowledge on the history of Radford amplifiers!
Ah - global fame at last!

Usual warning. Don't open emails from an unrecognised sender, it can cause all sorts of grief!

Might be a mate of Nick Invalot.
