Well I love these speakers and really enjoyed having them but downsizing a little, and would like something that will work a little better in my room.
These were on my long time to-do-list so quite pleased I have ticked them off!
Main reason of selling is I have decided to be sensible for a change and pay off some debt (the Dolomite is being waved goodbye to as well) but I need to be a little grown up for a change

They were bought a couple of months back BNIB after the previous owner have bought two pairs to save on shipping.
I still have all the original packaging and accessories (allen key, spare resistors and fuses) along with the instructions and warranty card.
The two pairs of resistors are to pad down the treble (using the terminal on the back) if you find them a little bright, which I dont at all, they are very nicely balanced.

These are quite rare over here being a factory direct purchase only from Magnepan. I got a quote of ~£770 to get a pair imported directly from them, including the VAT and Import duty but managed to find these instead.

They worked supprisingly well with the Audion when I first got them, but they do seem to respond to some decent power, or at least something that is comfortable with a 4 Ohm load, so a decent spec Valve amp with a 4 Ohm tap may work well as they are almost resistive throughout the impedance curve between 4 and 5 Ohms.

I find they have a massive soundstage, really fill the room and the bass is supprisingly deep and punchy, and very fast with it with no overhang as you would expect from a dipole speaker.
They have very good integration between the treble Quasi-Ribbon and mid bass panel.
You wont get the very last ounce of detail in the treble but they do give very realisting presentation to instruments, drums especially.

Condition wise, these are as new.

Shame, if I had the room I'd snap these! My father owns Maggie 1.7s which sound fantastic and dynamic.

Come on people, maggies are brilliant!
