Gentlemen:
I just purchased a Melior DCC (Museatex) digital pre/amp. I have one problem with this unit, it's remote was lost.
Features controlled by the remote are:
1. Defeating the volume control when using it in a system which already has a preamp.
or turning it back on
2. Re/labeling the inputs
3. Match volume levels for each input.
Lucky for me the volume control is functioning on my unit.
It is an early 1990's version of the DCC (digital control centre). For it's day it was revolutionary because it has a built in dac. It is meant for digital products only & has inputs for cd players, dvd players, anything which has a co/axial, or toslink cable. Input 1 has both a co/ax & a toslink, all other inputs (four) are toslink.
This unit sold for $2300cdn back in the day. I paid $250, to my ears it sounds fantastic (just a note for those on a budget). If any one has or knows where I can find a Musteatex universal remote or any Museatex remote (they can be modified to work by John Wright) , I would be in your debt. (I'm willing to pay a fair price)

ps. Museatex/Meitner used an oddball code which isn't compatible with most learning remotes. Any info along these lines would also be usefull.
I would be willing to purchase Museatex gear which comes with the universal remote, even if the gear doesn't work.
