Nice one, Richard. I thought you might snap that up! :eyebrows:

You've not heard the Techy with a Jelco on it, have you? It really is a marriage made in heaven... Fit your favourite 'old nail' to the Jelco and you'll be laffin'! :trust:

just from a curiosity point of view......should I choose to go down this route :eyebrows:

I assume you need a new mounting board for this arm??? What other considerations are there???

Don't forget a cable...
And a Shuggie made collar...
If you want to go heavy, buy a heavy counterweight...

Sorry Rob - I'm just an audio tart at the end of the day.

Seriously though, I wasn't going to pay out for a new 750D but a good used one, from a reliable source, was always on the cards if one came up. :)

That's it - arm cable and armboard ordered too. :)

Quick ques - do arm cables generally come with a pair of earth leads? That's to say one for the arm to go to the earth post on the amp, the other to the TT's earthing point (in the Tecchy's case the one screwed to the post just next to the pitch slider).

Thanks. :)

Don't think so.
Only ones i've seen them both on are linn cables.

Maybe wrong though.

Thanks Stu - I did wonder this. It's not a major issue to run a separate, 2nd earth lead from the TT's earthing point to the amp but obviously it'll be neater if the arm has its own one.

If you'd bought a Yannis tonearm cable, daftee, instead of whatever else you've gone for, it would've had exactly what you needed on it!
