Thanks! that means a lot coming from a proper audiophile and not just review websites :) It's got 8 voltage regulators for the 5v usb power it gets, to stabilize usb power fluctuations. Other review websites have said it's got a dark sound and very low jitter ratings. I'm looking for a dark sounding DAC and because it's so small and light, it can just be mailed overseas like a cord without much expenditure.

Rahul,
I just got back from a visit to India.
I am in the process of swapping over my devilsound 2.1 snowflake dac for the halide dac hd.
If your interested my devilsound will be spare soon, it sounds great but waiting to hear the halide when it arrives
Bless

It sounds tempting. I was trying to aim for a used halide HD because the devilsound doesn't have async usb.

If you decide on selling it post hearing the halide hd (Curious to hear your take on the halide hd vs devilsound) and feel that you can cut me a good deal (Reason why I'm looking for used and not new) I might be interested (Would you be travelling to India again soon?)

Thank you :)

Think it might be hard to find a used version of this DAC as a relative new product
I was at this review

Oh nice! I came across that page while researching the dac :)

Yes, I think so too. The HD version is quite recent so I imagine it will be quite difficult to find a used piece.

You will indeed struggle to find such a new and highly reveiwed product used, even the mark 1 devilsound i sold last year went super fast buy now on ebay.
The snowflake is really very good, and i am sure would be perfect for most lower to middle range systems, for the money.
Will post some opinions later
