View Full Version : Smelly Touch
Got out of bed wrong side this morning and everything is still going downhill! Latest is plug wall wart into touch and "Whoops, what's that smell?"
If anyone wants a touch that's been fed 12v, let me know!
I really loved that touch (before she started to smell...)

I fail to understand why you would unplug the Touch by pulling the power lead out of the back.
What were you trying to do?
If it was to dim the display then you should have done that through the menus on the player.
If it was to save power then think again - you've still been powering components in the PSU, whether or not there's a device hanging off the end of it.
Still, you live and learn, eh? ;)

If it happened to me (and it couldn't be fixed) I would get another-love it.

It's been in a drawer for months, was going to check new installation of Slimserve ( or whatever it's called this week).
Wasn't really seeking sympathy or tech advice, just seemed like the start of another awfull blues song!
"woke up this morning, realised she had gone..."
Anyway, checked on another (carefully using 5v this time).
Offer stands, but don't expect takers! I've had a touch open...
