Yes, at least once a week. Their system seems to work well just the takeaways make balls ups sometimes. Just go for the local ones with the best reviews.

When a balls-up occurs, Roy, how long does it take to get it sorted out to your satisfaction? :)

Pretty promptly to be honest. Had a few free pizzas when wrong one's been delivered. Have also had cause to complain about getting burgers with mayo/salad/cheese in when we wanted plain. Ultimately you just stop using takeaways who don't deliver (:eyebrows:) I've got plenty to choose from locally.

Cool... How promptly is "pretty promptly", though?

And who do you call to complain - Just Eat or the take-away business who delivered the food? If it's the former, I'm curious to know if using a third party adds further to the delay in fixing the error :)

Also, do you have to pay in advance for the food, or do you have the option of paying on delivery? I prefer the latter, in order to retain control.

Not that we eat that many take-aways (about one every two months, perhaps), but it's a pet hate of mine, sitting there starving waiting for the food you've ordered to arrive (usually around an hour), only to be delivered something that you didn't want, or for something important to be forgotten, and then waiting for the idiots to sort it out - and in the meantime, becoming even hungrier...! :steam:

I usually give them a MAXIMUM of 10 mins to sort it our or cancel the order and go to the chippy instead!!

Can't remember the last time I had a problem really, I tend to use the same takeaways (last time I strayed from this I got carrots in a biryani!). The Indian I use is also a restaurant & is close to where I work so I've 'eaten in' a few times and the food's always been top notch.

If you do have a problem you deal with the takeaway direct. You can either pay by credit card when ordering or cash on delivery. When you order you get an estimated delivery time which is usually pretty accurate, so you know what time to order to coincide with when you want to eat.

No worries, dude. The point I was making was that if you have to wait half an hour, or more, to get the error sorted out (easily possible if you live in a big city, with busy traffic at a weekend), it's pointless, as you would be quicker sorting out alternative arrangements yourself! :)

That is if you don't starve to death in the meantime...... ;)

Marco, this is presumably only a problem for you when the butler is on his night off.

Indeed, or when Fortnum and Masons is closed. Dreadfully inconvenient.

Also, because you place your order online and they have it in black and white rather than someone's scribbled shorthand, there is less chance of them getting it wrong.
I use it regularly and have never had any problems.

I've used Just Eat regularly for over a year and I have never had a problem with the system, just a couple of small issues with the Take Away's. You can complain to both Just Eat and the Take Away and there is also a facility to write a review and score the restaurant you order from. It's a very good system and in my experience delivery times tend to be quicker because the businesses that use the service know they will be held accountable by the customer and Just Eat for poor service.

'Aroma', 55 High Street, Romford. They're on 'Just Eat' - free delivery on orders over £10 within a 4 mile radius. Only dish I didn't enjoy was their Jalfrezi - think they had a glut of onions they needed to get rid of!

I tried to use it my area lately(we had a clean out and so all the menus had been binned) most local to me had no menu on the site which was a bit inconvenient and in the end it was as quick for me to pop round and order in person and bloomin' quicker too, then again I stay in a town and it's easy to get around and park.
Building up the collection of menus again.
