Klipsch Heresy experiences?

Hi

I came across these speakers online and was wondering if anyone has heard them before. They seem quite popular in Italy, not so sure about the UK...Any experiences? I would use them with my NAF 845 25W amp (still not sold lol)

A bit rough n ready and coloured but efficient, dynamic and good fun. Probably best for 'rock' music as 'classical' people tend to not appreciate the colourations.

I had Klipsch Heresy 2 for a very short while - effing awful on classical - just so coloured! :doh:

Enjoyable on pop/rock, though - just full of bouncy energy and fun :carrot: - but don't expect them to sound 'realistic'! :nono:

Never heard this Klipsch model but did hear one of their speakers at a show once, awful, the treble took my head off. I was disappointed to be honest, I always fancied Klipsch but after this experience I looked at alternatives.

By all means go and try a pair out as we all have different tastes and ears!

They sit on the floor as putting on stands removes the tiny amount of bass they have. These are designed for maximum efficiency so bass level suffers as a result. I don't find them unduly coloured, but they DO need a warm and rose tinted amp to work properly with them (I'm thinking vintage Quad valve or the current £1K model Icon here, which should have just the right amount of golden syrup to match :)).

I think my favourite rock speaker of reasonable size and cost? would have to be a JBL L100/4310/4410 series, since they don't suffer much efficiency loss and they have excellent if ported bass (a bit "porty" at 70Hz if you're fussy). later 4310's were in a crackle "pro" finish, although all the key ingredients were there, supposedly with modernised crossovers (the real source of colouration in these speakers apparently).
