Just a quick pick for anyone who was interested to see what the wand looks like on a techie, this is the MK I version of the wand, the Mk II has arm lift device and various other up-grades.

Linky no worky, daftee... Get it on Photobucket or Imageshack, instead of a Google attachment (whatever that is)! ;)

Now yer talking (should've done that in the first place)! ;)

Looks fab (really suits the SL-120) - then I've always been someone who rates the wand, aesthetically and sonically, but not all do! Didn't know you were a fan of classical music? :)

Nice original Techy, too (as they were once, sold with no arm). Where did you get that from?

I think it looked better before you managed to get the picture to appear :eyebrows:

It is a tech from new zealand I think, Simon who sells the wand sent it to me as an example as I have not had time to take a pic of my techie yet! I do have an SL120 around the house somewhere, the LP is of course not mine as the deck is not mine, I have a bit of classical off the B+W hi-res downloads
site that I put on my music server when I am working but never really got into it, prefer 1980's funk, soul and house!

It looked much better on the Garrard at Owston.
Seemed to do a decent job too.

Sorry I did not know you were there until I got home and Nick told me your son was the guitar player otherwise I would have introduced myself, well there's always the next one.

Yes I know which I prefer the wand on, mind you I have not heard it yet on my Techie, I will bring the Tech to Owston next time and before that we have Bristol to showcase it too.

It looks a bit like the scampi off of Fingerbobs...

Not that it matters but I really really hate the look of the thing, although I know ultimately it's about how it sounds ;)

I quite like the look of that. It's simply engineered for sure, but what would one expect at the price. I bet it offers fine sound per pound.
