have these been fitted with different connectors to usual as they look different to the usual Z plugs ?

Mark
They are not the usual z plugs.
No idea why as I am not the original owner. I have taken a close up of the plugs. Maybe you can identify them.

Stewart, can I ask why you're selling them?

Good question H. I use the Blue and it's f.....g great. A tad peppier than the more expensive black and in my view a better buy. I must say though, Tellurium Q is the best cable i have used in over 10 years. This is withut doubt a bargain.

Harry, this is your six hundred and sixtieth post. Is it an omen?

Ok. Why are you selling them?

The first thing I noticed when using this cable was "loads more bass".
That's the problem my system sounded unbalanced, bass heavy.
I can sort it by pulling my speakers out into the room abit more but the right one ends up in front of the tv and messes with the colour (crt tv).
The left speaker ends up too near the suite.
The pic is before having to mess with speaker positioning.

So, keep the cable and then, new speakers? New tv? Rearrange the room? Divorce?
Or sell the cables on and book a cruise for our summer holiday?
The latter.

are the speaker rear ported?... If so I can only imagine that you will be getting quite a bit of boom from the bay window...

Anyhoo... Cruise.

The speakers are front ported.
The bay will have some influence on the speaker position but I am not moving the speakers when I plug the Tellurium in.
With my existing cable or some old Qed 79 I have the balance is fine. Also it's not boom the bass is tight, it's like pushing the loudness button

Cheers Stewart. I asked because I've been considering this cable for a while. I've heard a lot of good comments but I've also heard opinions that mirror yours. I don't know what this cable does but I'm concerned that it adds something to the sound. Not what I want. Also I biamp so would need 4x5m lengths. An expensive experiment.

If I could pull the speakers out into the room a bit more I would keep the Tellurium as the system does sound more powerful with them in place.

I've not had a problem with mine into "our" speakers! ;)

TQ Blue, which replaced the Belkins spoken about around here.

Big improvement on the blue?

Big improvement on the blue?

Odd thing here, as Effem and I discussed.......the step up in SQ from the Belks to the Blues was outstanding, but the Blues up? To the Black not as big, diminishing return stuff kicking in here?

Anyway, I absolutely loved the treble with the Blues, but to me the Blacks just didn't "sparkle" the same.
Frank as you may know went back to Blue from the Black, but I kept The Black, meaning to try some more Blues........one day!

Hi Stewart,

Yes the plugs have now changed, give Geoff at TQ a call maybe he can change them for the newer ones, but please not do this yourself.

Best Col

I'm even more intrigued by the Tellurium cables thanks to Colin's comments. I'd genuinely like to know why changing the plugs over would be deemed necessary and why one couldn't do it oneself. I ask this as I've just put new plugs on my cables and have noticed an improvement. Not a difficult job, so what's the story with the Telluriums. I'm genuinely intrigued and interested.

Ok guys, don't want to be a mardy bum but can any more comments & questions not relating to the actual sale of these cables please be made elsewhere.
Thanks.
