I'm looking for a very cheap universal headshell type pickup arm, preferably under £50.
Anybody got anything?
Thanks,
Geoff.
Have a jvc jla1.
Don't know how easy it would be to take arm of but happy to sell whole deck.
Not as good condition as this one though but ok.

Thanks for the offer Stu, but I need an arm with an integrated lifter.
Anyway, it'd be a shame to rip apart a JLA1, I rather liked those.
Cheers,
Geoff.

Geoff,
Thinking of selling my Rega R200. (s shaped) But may be a bit over your budget though.

Thanks Mike, I may take you up on that.
I'll have a look around in the meantime.

Technics SL1200 or SL1210 arm?
Does that include the circular mounting base & arm lifter Jeff?
If so, how much are you wanting for one?
Geoff.
I also have a linn LVX for £95 posted.
Bit over budget though.

Hi Geoff,
Yes, both arms are complete. I haven't thought of selling these. I planned to rebuild and rewire the SL1200 arm which also has slightly loose bearings. If I get around to this, I probably won't need the SL1210 arm (which is fine and has also been externally rewired and terminated with Neutrik phono plugs). But I might just avoid the hassle and keep the SL1210 arm and sell the SL1200 arm. Does this make sense? If I decide to sell, either arm should be within your budget, let's say around £40 for the SL1210 and £25 for the SL1200 (and if you want, £30 for a brand new, unused replacement tonearm assembly waiting to be installed).

Thanks Stuart, but I'm definitely after a universal (SME) type headshell fitting arm.
