Just a bit surprised there's no one in the UK selling them.

In the '80s I used some Goldring inners. Years later I found the records in them had a dull streaky finish to them. Glad I didn't use a lot of them.

Just tried Google and Covers 33 are selling them at about £22/100 or about £13/50.

Didn't have them the previous times I've looked. Better snap some up before they disappear again.

Anybody have a source for some nice snug fitting outer sleeves? I got some from Amazon and despite lots of positive reviews they are too big by almost an inch.

Still too big at 12.75" but much closer to the ideal 12.5".

Alas the only ones smaller were taken off market as they were too tight. forgot their name. Trouble is records are not all the same size(covers)

In your youth records were not generally pressed on 180/200g vinyl, and the sleeves were not generally printed on thick card, with both things being common practise now.
That's why the protective outer sleeves have become bigger.

while more expensive are a smaller size (320x315mm rather than 330x325mm) than the standard variety so might be of interest to Andrew (AGK)

saw those recently somewhere.. that size is for non gatefolds i think. mine are just the thick normal hazy type. didnt have those when i was collecting. good to protect your investment

Are the VinylGuru gatefolds from Amazon as good as the reviews claim?40 pounds for a pack of 20 is not cheap,but would be worth it,if they are the best.

dont use gatefold sleeves as i find them more trouble than they are worth. take up a lot of room too, plus as you say, expensive. just as good in a single sleeve imo:)

I think i have got singles from VinylGuru lying around,i will try them soon as i finally started sorting out and storing my records.The gatefolds would be for very thick Mofi and the likes.

All - a RCM workflow question for you ...

I've got myself a RCM which replaces a pair of Knosties. Previously, I'd place a new antistatic inner (nagaoka) inside the LP cover and sometimes back into the original paper inner - if it would fit. That's a bit laborious.

There are over 300 - but i'll clean them all. I will use more new antistatic inners and will now use outside covers to put the main sleeve in.

Now, what should I do with all the old original paper inners (some have a liner in) ? bin them or keep them ? I prefer the bin but not if thats the wrong practice/wrong thing to do then please let me know what you do!!

For outers ,I have bought Vinyl Keepers for the last 12 months after trying others. I did have the over size ones before, they are OK for large doubles and triples but just too big for the single LP's.
The Vinyl Keepers were manufactured too big at one stage but they sorted it and now they are OK (12.75). You can buy direct from them or through Amazon. I get the 450g ones for 12"

After cleaning LPs, I use Spincare Audiophile (https://www.spincare.co.uk/products/spincare-ultra-premium-12-vinyl-sleeves-pack-of-50) inner sleeves - I like them.

Does anyone know a supplier of new brown 10" sleeves? Specifically, the ones with taped seams and a thumb notch at the top.
