Bought this kit from the bay and built it up on Sunday evening. A fair bit of soldering but easy to do with good instructions. Very pleased with the end result and it was fun to do-

Don't you have enough glowing bottles to look at?  ;)

Nice ;)

I've looked at those a couple of times too and always fancied building one up

Any chance of a link Ali, I fancy one of those myself... Might be the nearest I ever get to valves :rfl:

Linky

It's easy enough to do but there is a lot of fairly fine soldering, so if you're not well versed I'd get some practice in first. No bother for experienced bods though.

Works as an alarm clock too!

So is it analogue or digital? Being 'valved', do you perceive a better quality of time?

Like my system, a bit of both. The time seems warmer somehow.

Fellow Nixie fan here, this is a kit I built a few years ago.

Still haven't found a case for it!
Has alarm, temp probe and is radio controlled so time syncs every night. Perfect blend of old and new. Tubes are NOS Russian IN-8-2. Sadly kit is long since sold out.

Dangerous though! I have to remember to unplug it before I move it.
One day I'll forget and it'll bite!

Bit of a nibble maybe, only 170v or so.
