Hello all.
I live in Cambridge, and have joined up because I'm in the middle of a bout of system tweaking after several years of just happily rolling along enjoying music.
Vinyl: Voyd Valdi, Helius Omega, Ortofon Jubilee
CD: Theta Data Basic transport, Audio Synthesis DAX
Pre-amp: EAR 868P
Power amps: EAR 509 Mk II
Speakers: Living Voice OBX-R
Music: across the spectrum - but the it's classical stuff that's most difficult to reproduce well, such as complex orchestral and soprano fortes where I really notice and care about how well my system works.
I've been trying out alternatives to my EAR 509's to see whether a it's worth taking advantage of the OBX-R's ability to work with lower powered amps.
And after nearly 20 years with my Voyd Valdi I'm curious to see whether there are significant improvements to be had on the vinyl front end.
Cheers,
Simon
