View Full Version : Voyd & Helius Orion Mk 3 arm.
A sale of a great turntable and tonearm.
This is the last resort to sell but with car problems something has to give.
The voyd is the 3 motor variety.
The helius mk 3 is a rarer than normal beast as it was a single tube instead of the 2 piece used on the mk 1&2.
The reason was to take heavier carts.
Has been rewired and fettled at J7's only last month with van damme and only had 3 hours use since then.
The voyd was stripped from it's natural black finish 20 years ago.
I will get some better pictures up over the weekend.
Price for the pair is £1,700.
Will split Arm £600
Deck £1,200
Pick up from Devon,i do get to london and the midland usually every couple of weeks so a meet on the motorway is possible.

I once had a Mk3 Orion - very nice arm. Mine was on a Pink Triangle.
Yes they are very good.
Don't think many were made.

Oh , ok thanks .
You'll be sorrrrrrrrrry Stu . . . . .
Keep the deck and buy a bike :mental:
I know frank.
Not an easy one this.
Luckily have managed to get a 301 which will soften the blow.
If this is for a car, good cars are so cheap these days.... Can get top of the line Alfa Romeo 164 with MOT and TAx for about £500 and that's on eBay where prices are out of wack compared to local papers etc.
Get a 25 year old Volvo or Saab for a couple of hundred and get £120 odd fully comp classic insurance too! You'd be surprised perhaps at how reliable old cars really are.
Yes have an old £400 ebay job at present.
I have an old lp12 in the loft so maybe i'll get £4-450 for that instead.
Hi Stuart,
Does it have the split phase power supply?
Thanks,
Simon
forgot to ask about the lid...
Thanks,
Simon
Hi simon.
The lid is in very good condition.
afraid i don't know about the power supply.
It does have a couple of marks and a small ding on the side.
Will find out for you or send a pic.
thanks.
Might do a px with a low output valve amp but will need cash my way for car if that makes sense.
I think if it's the Split Phase power supply it will say on the front or back of the box. The photo doesn't show quite enough detail to be able to read it.
Cheers,
Simon
Probably not then.
Just has The voyd PSU on the front with the serial number on the back.

I thought the Voyd came with the split phase psu as standard ? Though I had the reference psu with my old .5 .
Hi Stuart,
Sorry. I don't want to muddy the waters over the psu identification.
As far as I know, the Voyd was originally available with a 'basic' psu, with the split phase version available as a £200 option. See:
http://www.pinkfishmedia.net/forum/showthread.php?t=47929&page=11
But I don't know whether the split phase psu later became the standard one.
I'll try to find out.
The Voyd split phase psu's that I've seen have Voyd splitØpsu on the front plate.
I'm interested, as I'm looking to upgrade from my Voyd Valdi, which has the split phase psu.
Cheers,
Simon
Bump for a world class deck.

Lovely looking tt.
That Tube Technogy Unisis is a beauty, built like a tank!
Hi
I may well be interested in the deck. Could you tell me whether the armboard is held on by three or four screws? Odd question I know, but apparently there were some of each variant and I'd need a different board for my arm.
Thanks
Alan
