is it balanced?????

I'm laughing at the novelty value but I cant help but think its going to be at best putting strain on the bearing, messing with the speed and adding noise from the bearing. Also, how is it fixed? Not sure I'd want an expensive cart destroyed when it flew off!!!

Like I say, great novelty idea but I cant say I'd recommend it!!!!

Here's mine.

Home made about twenty years ago. Two discs of black anodised alloy plate, two discs of Paxolin sandwiching a lead disc and a vintage 'wireless' knob on top. All epoxy glued together and a bit of poly foam glued to the bottom. Weighs 133 grams and works very well.

I'd say as a weight, You want a very low center of gravity. Too high and it could topple and fly off.

Whats the platter? I use a michell clamp with my achromat which may be your safest and most cost effective option.
