Having crossed swords (words) with Marco not so long ago on the subject of PSU for the Techy and feeling really really pissed off I thought I would look around at alternative forums to see if I would be happier elsewhere? Thats what I've been a doing for the past couple of months. Now there are some really interesting ones but one that really piqued my interest was the forum 'HiFiSubjectivist' run by a Dr Honeybunny or some name like that. Is he a medical or clerical doctor by the way? I was rather amused that the ethos of this particular forum is 'to take the piss out of other forums', why not? 'Private Eye magazine' does it with alot of humour on various subjects but I found The HFS totally lacking in humour and after further delving into past subjects posted on this forum HFS came across as a foul tempered attack dog ready to savage any passing man, woman or child; a spoonful of medication and help is needed here surely? Now, I guess I've given the Doc me as another target, tell me which product and dealer you don't like that I should shill for a thrill, a freebee or cheapo doodah Doc to get you going?:)
Marco, I'm sticking around and maybe our swords will cross again, thats tough Pisano
Richrd Dunn is picking on me again because apparently Rega have a sales drive going on at the moment and we're waiting for a lull and then going at the shilling full pelt - first I've heard of it!
At one point, I'd have been happy to meet with him and listen to his products, but not now. Not because I fear his products will be better so am shying away from them, but because of the way I've been presented on there. I shall continue to recommend what I've heard and liked, whatever it is and whomever sells it - no skin off my nose!!!
Some people need to get a life and as for Jerry stirring the pot on there - I really don't know how or what to say :steam:

Lol - it's water under the bridge, mate, and long forgotten about, as far as I'm concerned. At the end of the day, it was only a turntable PSU, so not worth ripping one's knitting over.
I'm afraid that I'll always be the type who has forthright views and isn't afraid of expressing them. I don't expect people to always agree with me (perish the thought), but it's handy, if you (as in 'one') wish to remain here, are thick-skinned enough to take it! ;)
Glad you're sticking around. I always enjoy your contributions, Ron, even if they're sometimes critical of mine, and you're a nice guy in person :)
Marco.

Strange but true, but I really did like the sound of NVA amps especially on the end of his own manufacture TT that I heard at a show many years ago.
Oh dear, hush my mouth, I just mentioned NVA amps!!!!! I'm now a shill is there a pill to cure a shill?
Ron - good to see you back - I did "check you out" the other night and saw you'd been away but had returned. Unfortunately, if everyone who has crossed swords with Marco stayed away this would be a very lonely place for The Boss! ;) Seriously, we should all remember occasionally that it is only hifi. It's the music that matters - and the people... Misguided though he is IMHO, Dr HoneyBunny (!) does have it right on one thing - "ad hominem" isn't really acceptable, though his interpretation of what constitutes it does often leave a lot to be desired... But even when swords are crossed here, it is very rarely the individual who is personally the target.

Nah Alex, never really been away you're all too too cute and cuddly to be left alone
Yup, its about the music but unfortunately that love of music and how its reproduced in one's home environment is hijacked by sad sacks of dung who just want to be plain old nasty with nothing else of constructive worth to say. I personally come from an upbringing where you stand by your mates especially when they are gang attacked by the self appointed guardians of whats wrong or right.
RD has seen fit to post a lengthy quoted description of a shill...
Now, Does ANYONE here not know that hifi dave and I have been pals for twenty five years or so? Does ANYONE here not know that the brands I'm accused most of shilling for are Harbeth, Rega and Croft, which are available from a network of dealers, albeit a small one in the case of two of these brands. Oh yeah, does ANYONE here not know that I spent over thirty years in the industry and have known these brands a VERY long time and even sold them for many years (not Croft though :() ?
I wish I had the skill to bend the truth and make false assumptions the way some people can. At least I'm not banned on any fora I belong to (yet!), although I've come close on the AVI one once or twice ;)
Dave, do not feed the energy monster. When you cut off its oxygen supply, it soon dies!

It's obvious that the rantings of a certain keyboard warrior are having an effect, as you have responded here.
Don't pay any attention to what he has to say, don't visit his comedic forum, and don't respond to any taunts - he'll get bored and crawl back under the rock from whence he came.
Simples :)
+1. Try it. I assure you it's most cathartic... By all means read the bullshite there (it's both pathetic and amusing). Just don't respond to it ;)
Marco.

Oh so true my chubby little ones :):), but to quote corporal Jones from Dads Army, 'They don't like it up 'em... they don't like it up 'em sir, no they don't'!.
I've always believed that people who sling shit will end up smelling of it and should not be surprised when a return turd comes their way.
I must admit I like to pop over there once in a blue moon, to see what the buffoons are saying, and have a good giggle at their self-indulgent delusion. I love that they are now apparently doing all the members of AoS a "service" by telling it how it is - that AoS should actually be "Art of Shill" :eyebrows: Still, I guess there's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's not being talked about!

Yes, there seems to be a stream of rather odd rantings on the 'Dungheap' currently.

'lo Geoff, yup and the main poo purveyors are Jammydoughnut who clambers out of his paper bag to sooth the ruffled shirt tail of his Laird...... delicate question this but is he the Laird's hidden love child:scratch:?
Now Daisy Quinn, the legal weasel, is she responsible for the unsolicited text messages for PPI claimants (you don't need 'em folks to make a claim by the way, save your self at least 30% of your money) and for further unsolicited text and phonecalls to make false accident claims:scratch:???
As for Dr Honeybunny, the last time I came across a mouth like his it had a fish hook in it:stalks:

Shit slinging across the ether never does anybody any good.
Don't fall to the lowest common denominator - AoS is far better than that.

I do agree. But reluctantly as it is such a target - rich environment. I do sort of like Honeybunny 'cause he is not afraid to speak his mind but some of the hangers on leave nothing but a bad taste.

Yup, I agree with you but you don't calm and contain a bully by tickling him with a feather, you punch back hard. I started this because his agenda was to constantly bad mouth on his forum two genuine people I have known for well over thirty years, whom I respect and trust and have helped me in the past.
I shall bring this to an end but if HFS starts again then I will mostly certainly hit back!
Now onwards to better things ;)

Dr HunnyBunny!!! :rfl:
He, hee... I was going to refer to him by his proper name, Dicky Dung, but it was before the watershed hour so referred to him by his pet name ;)
I'm outa here

Yeah exactly,i agree and think this quote sums it up.
"Great people talk about ideas. Average people talk about things. Small people talk about other people."

Exactly Darren - I occasionally pop over to stay informed, just as I do here, but I'm not inclined to comment. I have better things to do than rant about the musings of other's and then spend more time reading what they are commenting about my comments, totally pointless and a waste of time

The shallow invective at the 'Dungheap' seems to gain momentum by the day!
Quite amusing to behold really.

The arguments seem quite balanced of late. I'm sure I sense a chip on both shoulders.
Best leave 'em be, otherwise you'll wake them from their slumbers..... ;)
