Hi everyone,
on the subject of upgrading a Technics SL1200, I came across these guys
http://www.vantageaudio.com/
Some really nice upgraded parts seems to be available from them.
So my questions is if anyone on AOS has had their upgrades installed and what do you think about those items?
As usual, thanks a lot for all your valuable input!
Cheers

Hi Francois, l have the £25 VA Feet, and they to my ears a tad better than the Isonoes l have, but do not look as cool though, but they work really well:)
All in my system, room etc.

Cool!
At that price, they are definitely worth a pun!
I'd echo what Andy said above ref the VA feet, but of course realise others' mileage will vary. However, they're very simple, not exactly 'engineered' but ye gods they work well. I too preferred them to the Isonoes.
Have met Richard at VA once - he was in the area and he popped in to my place to make sure everything was working well with my 1210 - and he's a thoroughly nice guy. What he doesn't know about DD turntables (of all persuasions) isn't really worth knowing. I've seen the work he did on Theo's Trio L-07D and it's stunning.
Oh...the VA bearing works well too - tidies up the deck's bottom end, adding a little bit of colour to the proceedings. If you don't have the necessary ££ for the MN bearing it's certainly worth a shout (the VA is approx £80 exchange).
Quick pic of the feet in place on my old 1210...

Cheers Richard!
Nice looking rack!
I will certainly give him a shout and get some stocking fillers for the festive season!

+1 from me for VA.
I have the VA feet (but on an SL-QL1) plus other mods (external PS, copper platter, bearing, damping).
Great guy to deal with.

Patiently waiting.
I emailed (again) recently, but still have not had a reply.
It's a good job that I haven't been holding my breath.

That's a pity Chris! I'm loving my fettled QL1 - really does the business for me. Let's hope Richard's ok, and that he gets back in circulation soon . . .
