Hi all.
My name's Steve Kimberley, and I live in Chapel St. Leonards, near Skegness, Lincs.
The username stems from my having followed Coventry Rugby Club since the mid-sixties (when they actually used to win games!). The ground was called Coundon Road, but sadly they've now moved from there.
Music-wise, I guess you could sum up my main preference as blues/blues rock, with the Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Buddy Guy, (Peter Green's!) Fleetwood Mac, John Lee Hooker, Groundhogs, Gary Moore, Feelgood, etc. etc. featuring quite heavily along with many more. Dylan, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Steve Winwood, Police, Manics and many more also feature heavily in the collection of both vinyl and CDs. There's quite a bit of 'classical' too, with a sprinkling of acoustic guitar stuff thrown in.
As for gear, most of it, like me, is getting on a bit. There's a couple of Rega Planar 3s (one in need of some TLC), the arm in use is a 300 (200 on the poorly one, and fitted with an Arcam P77. CDs are played with a Marantz CD6000KI signature. Amps are an Arcam Alpha 7R Integrated, an Audiolab 8000C Preamp, and a pair of NAD 902 monoblock power amps. I still have a Sony TCK400 cassette deck for replaying the old tapes. The latter gets very little use though! Speakers are a pair of Gale 4i's and Monitor Audio BX1s. Oh, and there's a Denon DAB/CD/MP3 mini-system which does get a fair bit of use for radio and MP3 playback (just laziness, when I need a bit of background noise...). There's also some sundry ancient tuners, cassette tapedecks and CD players that I won't go into.
All in all, it's a motley selection, but it suffices.
