Up until a short while ago I was using QED's silver stranded loudspeaker cables in a bi-wire configuration. A week ago I bought a 5' pair of NVA LS5 speaker cables in a single wire configuration. I have to say right now that the difference is absolutely staggering. OK, these NVA cables are very chunky and therefore very obvious in the room but the sound difference is amazing. The stereo imaging really has come into clear focus and the depth is stunning compared to the old cables. There are now threads and layers within the music mix that I have simply never heard before but all of a sudden, they are crystal clear. Little subtle vocal lines in the background that are now so obvious. I haven't noticed any distinct impact in the bass but then you can't have everything can you...? The most obvious changes are the ones mentioned. Money very well spent.
