Is anybody finding glitches in the way 'Internet Explorer' is operating tonight?

I've had a few webpages refusing to display and I don't seem to have a problem at my end of things.

Roll the machine back a bit and see if your problem persists.

It's not a big problem. I.E. seems to be OK most of the time tonight, but I've had about four pages over the last few hours that I.E. just couldn't handle, doesn't normally happen. It may be localised (very crap weather at the moment). I'll see how things are tomorrow.

The poor weather could easily have taken out a few nodes, and it's more than likely responsible for the issues you're having.

It's not just Explorer Geoff, been having similar issues with the net too this evening and I use Chrome. As has already been mentioned, it's probably due to the weather and flooding.

I ahd probs earlier on but that's nothing fresh, other than that..

Ive been with the same Internet provider since the early 90's & will be changing next week.. you get no brownie points for being faithful to companies anyway.

I've always used their own home page to work from, however ive started getting use to browsing with Google Chrome this last two weeks.. I dumped my desktop last year for laptop, now i'm revving up to dumping the laptop for Tablet/Keyboard Dock that uses Android browser as i don't use the pooter for anything much other than AOS these days.. This will suit my needs better.. should be no probs..

There have been glitches across the net yesterday, could be a DNS node down or, as Chris says, the weather affecting things. IE9 and IE10 are working fine, I use them all the time.

Things seem to back to normal as far as I.E. goes, but local signal strength is up and down this morning.

Signal strength?
You connecting via public WiFi?

No, using a 3 dongle at the moment for various reasons.

No, using a 3 dongle at the moment for various reasons.

Your issues will have been down to problems with your local 3G/4G node then.
You haven't had any issues with IE.

That info would have been useful in your o/p!

Strange. Signal strength was shown as high during I.E. drop-out.

You're open to the vagaries of public network.
The signal strength you keep mentioning is the strength of reception of the analogue carrier, and has nothing to do with the quality of the digital services superimposed upon it.
However, if you can't access the carrier you don't get any 3G/4G.

The signal strength you have mentioned is an indicator that you might be able to access the internet, but it's no guarantee.

Always Ctrl-A Ctrl-C before posting a large article. That way, if you lose the page, you can simply paste it into Notebook or similar and save it.
