Monitor Audio GX floorstanders??????????

has anyone heard or own a pair of the Monitor audio GX range floorstanders. Would like an opinion? Would they work with my PL P2?:)

Well what I will say is that they are an improvement over the older G series because of the ribbon tweater. I would go and listen to some MA speakers and see if you like them as the 'house' sound is very similar across the range, but I think these may deserve further investigation if that's your bag. I have no idea what they would sound like with your PL, but they could IMO need more oomph depending on which GX you went for?

What I can tell you for certain though is that the enclosure build quality is excellent as is the driver build quality - but go listen if you think you might like them ;)

They'll sound fine just as long as you have a 4ohm tap. I'm using valves with my MA's. They're good and dynamic.
