Yep, I liked it a lot.
My 1st reaction was "Wow - maybe the Parasound has met its match at last!".

But no, on the longer haul, the bigger Parasound has more to say about the music. But then it is in a higher price band, so it should!

There's a naturalness to the Quad's mids that is very beguiling, and at 140wpc it should drive most speakers without problems.
A nice piece of kit.

The Parasound is a rather humungous amp isn't it? Glad you liked the Quad though - a good safe choice for many I reckon and it can be taken further with cap and internal wiring replacement :)

Yep, for around £300 you can get the beast upgraded with better components, by Fidele Audio for example.

I have to confess that I gave this serious consideration! ... but I have come away with the feeling that I enjoy the Parasound so much with my speakers, I'd be better off staying with it. :)

Much cheaper from dada I believe :) But you'd be mad to change the Parasound IMO...

Anyway, you have a bargain there if only someone would give it a good chance :)
