Like I said just before great hacking debacle:

Red Lick Records
http://www.redlick.com/

Probably the biggest source of new & used blues (but not exclusively) in the UK.

They got their name by sticking a pin in a map of Mississippi!

Great list John, I like:

What Records
http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/

A good mix of vinyl and cd at reasonable prices i.e. The David Gilmoue Live In Gdansk Deluxe 5LP Box Set is £74.99 as opposed to £94.98 in Amazon. You do have to pay for delivery but its still cheaper.

Nice thread, plenty of sites for me to click on today.:)

Here’s a local indie store I’ve been going to since 1990. Their online ordering is pretty damn good. In fact if you’re in the Surrey area (just off the M3,) it’s worth popping in as they stock a good selection of secondhand and new vinyl /CD’s. Great shop.

Excellent thread idea John!

For all those seeking very high quality lossless audio files, I implore you to try iTrax (http://www.itrax.com) which has some very fine recordings. The range covers 96/24 master tracks right down to MP3.

Judging by your location i'm sure you must be a regular in Langley Records, West Molesey??? I just wish that guy did mail order. I haven't been down there since last summer but it's a great place to buy vinyl.

A great selection of second hand in a great location, and really nice people to deal with too ...

Great idea for a thread

http://www.cdwow.com/

I often use CD Wow for CDs, DVDs etc, but just noticed they are now starting to do some vinyl too.

Quite a lot of 180 gram in there, prices look pretty good, though I'm not an expert in these matters! (Free shipping on everything, too!)

I thought I'd add a few links from some sites I like buying from.

Proper bricks-and-mortar record shops with an online presence:

Norman Records (http://www.normanrecords.com/)

Rough Trade (http://www.roughtrade.com/)

Piccadilly Records (http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/shop/index.php)

Record labels:

Chemikal Underground (http://shop.chemikal.co.uk/) (a slightly faded star amongst indie labels; the former home of Mogwai and The Delgados, now without any 'big' names.)

Domino Records (http://www.dominorecordco.com/mart/) (current home of Arctic Monkeys and, more importantly, The Fall)

Damaged Goods (http://damagedgoods.greedbag.com/) (home of Billy Childish's numerous guises)

And a big community-type effort like GEMM / Netsounds:

http://www.discogs.com/

The shops are 'indie' by nature, but have a vast and comprehensive stock if that's what you're looking for.

CD Wow have usually been excellent, but I ordered 4 cds from them on the 9th December, and have only received them in the last week - not sure what is going on with them, as although they are Hong Kong based, the packages appear to be coming from Switzerland. Just thought I'd mention it, might just have been the Christmas demand though.
