Before I start swapping things I though I could tap into the extensive knowledge on here.
It's been a loooong time since I did any changing, so which is considered the best?

The TT is a Dual 505, currently fitted with a Shure M70.
I've dug out my other carts and I've got 2x Goldring G800 (I think) and a Nagaoka MP-11 with a MP-10 stylus fitted.

Cheers guys, Alan

The MP11 is an excellent cart - I'd try that first.

The Dual arm is very lightweight and fairly resonant, so my recommendation would be a Jico stylus for an M70-ED (Expert Styli may also do a good pattern one for under £20)..

The G800 will probably jump on loud passages in this arm (an exaggeration but I'm sure it won't be happy) and my current fave budget pickup is also too low in compliance IMO.

The best I ever heard the 505 was with an Ortofon OM20 fitted. beyond that the deck gets in the way too much. Sadly, the OM20 stylus costs triple or more its late 80's price :(
