just a few lines about myself and my current system.... name of john aka lakelander, i live in the english lake district and have done so most of my 62 years. the days can be wet and the nights long at this time of the year (oct ), what better interest than audio. im from the beatles, stones and hendrix era and that was the baseline of my musical interests. nowadays nearly all types of music do it for me except trad jazz and rap (each to their own ). my system has been through too many incarnations to list but if there are any more oldies out there hows about garrard sp25, amstrad 8000, warfdale lintons like thousands of others. it became ever more expensive but not always better. can you ever match your first taste of anything new ? in the past couple of years i have sold the linn lp12 and gone ALL cd , no downloads thank you. so here i am with a roksan caspian mk1 cd, audio innovations 500 16 ohm valve amp, impulse h6s all held together with solid silver phono, and kimber . a mostly british lineup and all bought second hand, apart from the first system probably the best value i have had. it can always be bettered but cost being the limiter im more than happy with it. my wife likes the sound but wishes the impulses were bookshelf models ! i enjoy tweeking but not tweeting. thats all for now....enjoy
