Get the HiFi News test record - there's an alignment protractor with several different sets of markings, and one of them should suit.

The HiFi News Test Record is OK, but a universal alignment tool such as the Clearaudio Alignment Gauge (http://www.analogueseduction.net/alignment-tools/clearaudio-high-precision-cartridge-alignment-gauge.html) makes life so much easier; also such a gauge allows arms with odd effective length to be set up properly with equal ease. I have the Clearaudio gauge and recommend it wholeheartedly, but I do admit it's pricey. the Feickert alignment tool (http://www.analogueseduction.net/alignment-tools/dr-feickert-ng-high-precision-alignment-tool.html) does the same thing at a more sensible price tag.

Once you have one of these things in the vinyl setup toolbox, believe me there's no going back!

Hi Hugo

I could have done with one of Dr F devices with its built in expletive when setting up my cartridge. I used the term frequently when doing mine.

Kind regards
