To Remember My Dad

Good morning all.
My name is Callum ive been into music my hole life thanks to my dad. But after the resent passing of my father, am now looking to build up a good hifi sytem so when am playing our cds i can remember all the long hours we used to listen together.
My dad had a Cyrus system but that was sold off. my mum saved the headphone for me because thats my chosen way i like to listen to the music. i feel more in touch with the sounds.

My music is mostly around the violin. because thats what he played. but i do like to listen to Folk/Pagan/Celtic/Country.
Am looking for a headphone amp that will give my the detail that the hd 600 are know to give.
But not to sure on source as ive a vast collection of cd but also a ipod. but when i coped a cd into iTunes ver lossless play back the cd player be it a old Technics sound better.
Can anyone with vast knowledgment help my please with thanks Callum

Me too, but I use mine with a re-silver-cabled (by the above amp maker) Senn HD280.
BTW Callum, welcome to AoS. some great guys on here so ask any questions you may have about HiFi and someone will be along with a response.
