Just tried to purchase a ttweights Classic Weight. Filled in all the usual shipping / billing stuf. Now the weight is $71.99 (£45.00) but the one and only shipping option for UPS International Courier is $81.00 (£50.87) :stalks:
Maybe it's me and I'm doing something wrong but I've looked carefully and there's the one option and thats the price - Needless to say i shall remain ttweights Classic Weight free for the time being.

Hi Dave, Pretty sure. I've attached the link http://www.ttweights.com/catalog/item/6997332/7020312.htm if someone wants to try themselves. Obviously you'll get the total cost to show but dont have to commit. Total cost once I chose the only shipping option showed as $152.00:eek:

I'm afraid I've experienced ridiculous shipping costs from US sellers before. I once bought some CF sheet and the shipping cost was significantly more than the material cost.

I just posted three Cadbury's 400gm chocolate bars to Taiwan. It cost me £31.. So postal rates are not what they used to be anymore.

Well, I've ust had a delivery from Japan and the postage charge was 89 pence.

No, you are not doing anything wrong. I have had a look for you and, unfortunately, you are correct in every regard.

Yes, £45.00 for the weight and £50.00 for delivery charge is madness I'm sure they could do it cheaper. I like the weight but I'll look at others now. I buy a fair few tunes on ebay from US and fortunately delivery charge has remained steady at around £8ish for an lp.

looks like a very nice record weight, weighs 440grms and yet this supplier can ship via USPS International Priority Mail for £8.77 from the US. - I may well take a punt.
