FS - a special Quad 405-2

For sale here we have my prized Quad 405-2 which I bought originally from Emporium Hi-Fi.

The cosmetic condition is really superb, with just a few minor surface marks that you really have to look hard to see.

It has just had a full service / upgrade by Lee at Red Hill Audio at a cost of £150.

This includes new Elna Silmic caps and new transistors, so it has a long life ahead -
I will be happy to supply the receipt of the work to the new owner.

It will excel with solid-state or valve pre-amps. At 100W it will drive most loads with ease and I have loved using it with everything from Shostakovich to Slayer!

I think you would be hard-pushed to find a better example so am asking £290.

In my humble used Quad stuff represents the absolute bargain end of the 'pre-loved' HiFi market, especially when it's in premium nick and serviced like this.
