Hello... My name is Dave, I'm from Southsea, and I'm an audioholic.
Quite an easy thing to admit really, when it comes down to it.
Oh, my system. Well, it's a solid chassis Garrard 301, Thomas Schick with 90th Anniversary SPU and a couple of Koetsus. Whest PS30RDT -> Modwright LS100 preamp with built in DAC. Speakers are Horning Aristoteles. Tellurium Q black speaker cables and Mark Grant interconnects everywhere else (thanks to the recommendations I saw on this forum).
Amp-wise, I have Fi 2A3's and stock Transcendent T16 monoblocks, and this week, I am busy building Rozenblit's new 15W OTL design. My slightly rebellious nature means I'm putting things like Takman carbon films and ClarityCaps in the signal sections. I've heard nothing but praise for this amp from the people who've already built one so have high hopes.
Music? Classical (favourite recording ever is Dorati's reading of Stravinsky's "Firebird" from 1960 on Mercury, still trying to find Martha Argerich's live Phillips recording of Rach's 3rd on LP) and jazz (recent purchases Soul Burst - Cal Tjader, Swiss Movement - Eddie Harris/Les McCann, His Majesty King Funk - Grant Green) and acoustic (Richard Thompson, Wizz Jones etc).
