First Frost.

I just looked outside and my car has frost on it.

Its the first one this season and pretty early for the London area, hope we don't get a bad winter.

The forecast is for milder weather in the next few days, trouble is, this time of year milder means wetter.

I know what you mean.

I was on the local highways engineering staff and it was often me co-ordinating the road gritting and snow clearance for the Ealing area through the winters. I like to think we did a good job, unfortunately we got blamed when the local A40 or A405 jammed up in snow condition and that was Highways Agency territory, not ours.
