This was built for me by Nick (Lurcher)of this parish :).

It uses the same Stephens and Billington transformers as in the Music first pre's.

Housed in a very nice aluminium case the pre has one input for simplicity and two outs for bi amping.

There is also a 6db gain switch fitted to the rear.

These could easily be changed over to one out two in with an added switch fitted.

This is easily the best passive pre ive ever heard/owned and is only being sold to fund a new active one.

Pictures available by email if required.

£450 plus post.

Bump with added piccies.

As you can see this has been very well built with good quality components.

Forgot to mention the seiden switch used for volume and i think from memory the phono sockets are cnc's.

Im sure Nick will be along soon to correct me if im wrong.

The tranformers used are Stephens and Billingtons copper type.

Ian, are those the mkIII TX-102? They look like they are (due to the white wiring), in which case that's the best version. Mine are more humble mkIIs.

Hope so Clive, since I seem to have succumbed to temptation.

Sounds good Andrew, you can never have enough iron! Are you still using your LCR phono?
