I had a pair of Virgo 2's but for some reason just couldn't get them to gel in my space.
They had a nice finish and solid build quality. I found their best feature was a deep and well controlled bass. They didn't image quite aswell as my standmounts though - I don't think they liked being close to the side and rear walls at all.
They were good speakers but think other options that might give more bang for your money if you want to try a more alternative approach

I had Virgo 2 and thought they were fab!
Quite hi rez, fabulous soundstage, better than average image focus, deep vibrant bass (amazing considering the small 4 inch bass drivers!), detailed but not hyped up treble, very dymanic and fast.
What's not to like?
They do like a fair amount of space to the sides for their side firing woofers, but apart from that I don't think they are very fussy positioning-wise, despite rumour to the contrary!

Can't argue with Jerry - would have probably kept mine if positioning not such a problem ...

owned tempo SE 3's and loved the bass and mid range but found the treble very meek for want of a better word, if it had been as good as the rest i may have kept them but alas they could not, so sold on rather fast, lovely looking speakers

If you like the narrow stance you should really consider Role Audio aswell ...

small 4 inch bass drivers!
You cant have missed the bigger bassunits on the side? ;)
Have Audio Physic Tempo 5 and gives em a warm recommendation to any one who likes detail and "disappearing" speakers with the bass capabilities of better floorstanders. Needs breathing space though, preferred mine playing along the long wall of the room, quite heavily toed in.

Hah  yeah - those side firing bass units are 6 inches! :D
l had a pair Al- you will need a big room for them to work at their best though and good sources and electronics, mad imaging though, not all in a good way though.
