RMAF 2012 Picture Thread And Top 5 In Show

1. FM Acoustics with Venture speakers for my ears was by far the BEST in show. I loved the sound and certainly there are others here who don't feel the same but the sound simply drew me in and I went back several times and was never disappointed

2. Nick Doshi's room with Wilson MAXX lll and Nick's own gear

3. MBL always lights up my ears and am never disappointed

4. Wilson Alexia room although I am not a fan of Dcs. I was there 3-4 times during the show and felt I got to really hear the speaker which I thought for the money was terrific

4. Roger Sanders sound room was mesmerizing that a system for $13K which includes the amp and external crossover sounded so good

5. Aesthetix with Focal Maestro and as Marty said so correctly this room sounded far better than their room next door which had the Grand Utopias with Soulution amps. I just don't get the buzz about Soulution when the Aesthetix amps easily sounded better

Sanders Sound System. Roger Sanders is one of the great names in electrostatic speaker design and his latest Model 10C ($13.000/pr) was demonstrated in a smartly set-up room where all of seats were in a line in the sweet spot. I heard Patricia Barber’s Café Blue and the speakers did not wimp out on the explosive percussion. It made for one very impressive demo and the best electrostatic sound I heard since way back when a Martin Logan Statement reproduced the crack of lightning strikes in a large auditorium.

This latest incarnation of Roger’s design must be on your list if you want a lot of speaker for the money. Forgetting price, if you have $100K, you still should hear them. They embarrass quite a few competitors charging three and four times the price. Building good speakers (and electronics) takes time, trial and error, and lots of patience. Thankfully, Roger Sanders perseveres, bringing to market one of the best overall speakers I’ve heard. Bravo!

I have a complete sanders system on Demo at present martin if you can get up north

active 10c electrostatics with 2 x magtech power amps , pre amp with external digital crossover

10c are 94dB with a kilowatt per channel if you want to hear music at real concert levels


should have them at a show in early 2013 down south
