Bi-amping - horizontal or vertical?

I wish to bi-amp using two stereo amps (2 x ATC P1).

Given that they are proper dual mono, should it make any difference if I bi-amp horizontally or vertically? :scratch:


VERTICAL is using one amp for each speaker - one channel for LF & one for HF.
HORIZONTAL is using one amp for LF on both speakers (i.e. stereo) and the other amp for HF on both speakers.

I think I ended up with Horizontal bi-amping. And I am more than pleased with the resulting sound.

I bi-amp horizontally, but as I have different power amps (8000SX, and 8000P gain matched), vertical wouldn't be an option.

The 8000P has more grunt so it does the bass work, leaving the tweeters for the 8000SX...works very nicely :)
