Guys,

As I'm constructing a full cable loom from Yannis (in Greece), from the tonearm cable on my Techy, into my valve preamp, I no longer need my (superb) 0.5M pair of Mark Grant G2000HDs, fitted with Eichmann Silver Bullet Plugs.

I recently changed the plugs on my G2000HDs from WBT 0110ag (shown below):

...and fitted these chaps instead:

Fitting the Eichmann Silver Bullet Plugs resulted in a marked sonic improvement, notably in terms of how more natural and believable voices and instruments sounded, where the WBTs (good though they were), overall produced a more 'processed', and ultimately less reallistic sound. There are valid reasons for this too, as the construction of the Eichmanns is explained:

Knowledgeable people will tell you that the RCA plug was never the best sonic solution, and through little else but marketing forces, became the De Facto standard. Well, IMO and that of other discerning listeners, Eichmann have addressed, as far as is possible, the limitations of the design and created the best performing RCA plug ever, the sonic effect of which is easily heard in a good system.

Interesting (and very informative) article and review here: http://www.soundfountain.com/amb/bullet.html

Ok, now for the fun part... Mark normally sells a 0.5M pair of the silver WBT-equipped G2000HDs for £220

However, as I'd like to offer an AoS member, who perhaps wouldn't normally consider spending that type of money on cables, the opportunity to obtain, IMO, one of the finest sounding interconnect cables on the market, regardless of cost, I'm willing to let my silver Eichmann-equipped G2000HDs go for:

£105 (INCLUDING shipping) to anywhere in Europe!!

To grab these fantastic cables at this BARGAIN price, either respond here or contact me by PM

Marco.

I vouch for ETI bullets. I use them as well. :) The WBT's are bright while the ETI's are warm. As I have a bright speaker, the ETI's helped considerably in controlling the brightness and making the sound more natural and rounder. :)

This is mine :)

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for that. I would largely agree, although in my system, the Eichmanns don't sound 'warm', but rather simply more neutral, and thus don't impose as strongly a defined sonic signature onto the music.

The WBTs, as you correctly say, in comparison, tend to superimpose an artifically 'etched' and somewhat 'forced' quality onto the music.

Anyway, so who fancies a serious BARGAIN? Trust me, you will struggle to better these cables, sonically, for anything under £1k - I kid you not!! :exactly:

You've obviously not tried the Reference Venus yet then Marco ;)

The Eichmann is a great connector (I use them myself). Congrats on a quick sale...and a great value lead for the lucky recipient!

Lol - cheers (to both Pauls). The key words in the sentence were "you will struggle to better".

Obviously if one knew of the existence of the Reference Venus, had heard it and considered it better than the Mark Grants, then I guess there wouldn't have been any struggle! ;)

Marco.
